How to get to Castle Walk Artists' studios
By Road
Take Junction 8 off the M25 and head down Reigate Hill. Go over the train tracks and around the one-way system, keeping in the left hand lane. As you go down Church Street and through the High Street, head towards Dorking (A25) and take your 1st right and park (marked red above). Cross the road and you will see a set of steps leading up to a path within the grounds. Take a right and follow the path until you reach the double green doors of 42 Castle Walk Artists' Studios.
Alternatively, but only at weekends, you can park in the council car park (marked green) though they have now introduced parking meters. You then walk down the path at the far right hand side, over a bridge then down until you reach the studio.
You can also access the studio from the High Street via the steps by Boots the Chemist.
By Rail
There are regular trains from London Victoria and London Bridge to Redhill and, in peak hours, directly to Reigate. Normally a change at Redhill is neccessary. Once at Reigate station, take a left and walk down towards the town (you will pass a statue of Margot Fonteyn and a central roundabout). You get to the town by walking through a tunnel (a red dotted line above) which comes out at Cafe Rouge. Take a right and head to Boots the Chemist and follow the steps up. Take a left and you're there. |
