Biography
Adam Green was born in England in 1973. After completing his BA Hons in Fine Art Painting from Kingston University he spent time travelling. in Central America and a year in Africa.

Adam exhibits regularly in the South East of England and London and has commissions in many corporate and private collections including a portrait for the actor, Rik Mayal.

Adam’s primary inspiration is the physical process of painting. An investigation into the fallibility of the eye also intrigues him. He uses appropriated imagery, patterns, grids, industrial and geometric designs as his vocabulary, to explore and defeat the logic of the 2-D surface. Paintings are multi layered., sometimes only a distant echo of a previous layer remains creating an intuitive feeling of memory and the passage of time. A sense of scale is never quite certain and a more thorough interrogation of the surface by the viewer brings a unique and subjective experience to the painting.
